Evan Gappelberg / Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Evan is an accomplished entrepreneur with an expertise in creating, funding and running start-ups, and he has extensive experience both as a hands-on operating executive and as a public markets professional.  Evan was the co-founder and CEO of EG Products, where he funded, patented, imported and distributed the market’s first LED light-up toy.  He secured license deals from Disney, Universal Studios, Clear Channel Communication and built a national sales channel, landing contracts with Walgreen’s, Macy’s, and live event shows like Ringling Bros. Prior to EG products Evan worked on Wall Street and has more than 20 years of experience dating back to the 1990’s as both a hedge fund manager and Senior Vice President of Finance where he underwrote Take Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTWO) which has a current US market cap of over $10Billion. Recently, Evan was responsible for bringing in the seed investors to Future Farm Technologies (CSE: FFT / OTCQX: FFRMF) and was instrumental in helping expand its market capitalization by over 20X before he left to start Nextech AR Solutions. He has extensive relationships and experience in all operational facets of managing a public company on both the CSE and the OTC markets.

Paul Duffy / President

Creator of the HumaGram and inventor of the patent for Holographic Telepresence over the Internet (TOIP), Paul has over 25 years of experience in successfully starting, expanding, diversifying and selling global technology companies. In 1992, Paul co-founded Corporate Communications Interactive (CCI) and grew it to one of the largest online learning and communication companies in North America. With clients such as AT&T, GE, IBM, Microsoft, Pearson Education and Manulife Financial, CCI was sold to SkillPath Seminars in 2003. Paul is also a former member of the Board of Governors for the Michener Institute for Applied Health Sciences, and holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Applied Computer Science from Ryerson University.

Scott Jenkins / Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Scott has 25 years of experience in the software industry, having been involved in both the product development and marketing of over 200 software properties internationally for a variety of companies, resulting in over $5B in combined sales. While serving as Creative Director at Acclaim Entertainment, Scott contributed to iconic industry franchises including Mortal Kombat, Marvel, The Simpsons, WWE/WWF, Turok, etc. He was also VP and one of 4 original founders of SouthPeak Games, as well as COO of Rain Digital Games (acquired by game publisher Majesco Entertainment). Scott has worked in a diverse range of industries including entertainment, cyber-security, and medical technology, consulting for startups and established tech companies globally.

Anthony Flores / Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)

With 10 years of experience in strategic marketing, coupled with his 4 years of Augmented Reality marketing, Anthony’s background in content production, brand building and partnership development has allowed him to create solutions to connect consumer with brands in a variety ways: Swarovski (Virtual Reality), Shopify (Consumer Workshops), and SUPER (Pop Retail). His wide portfolio includes strategic marketing to creative direction of innovative experiential programs for Pepsi, Mercedes Benz, and Zound Industries. In addition to his agency experience, Anthony has a strong background in lifestyle positioning serving the cannabis industry, having worked on strategic marketing and retail positioning campaigns for PAX and Golden State Sciences.

Reuben Tozman / Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Reuben has over 15 years operating product and engineering teams at an executive level. He has led large and geographically dispersed teams of people working alongside other executives to help drive results.

Most recently Reuben was the VP of Product for Shutterstock Custom (previously Flashstock). He was responsible for structuring the product organization to better meet stakeholder demands and market conditions, along with overseeing engineering performance. Previously Reuben has held positions as VP, Customer Success and Vice President of Client Services for some of Toronto’s fastest growing startups.

Mr Tozman authored ‘Learning on Demand: How the Evolution of Technology is Shaping the Future of Learning’ which was immediately listed in top ten books on the subject of online learning at the time of publication. As a founder, CEO and member of executive teams, Reuben’s work includes innovating products around adaptive learning systems, participating in open standards committees for technology, working in the digital content marketing space and bringing original ideas to market.

David Miles / Chief Financial Officer  (CFO)

Mr. Miles is a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years’ experience in a large multinational corporate environment, primarily with Cominco Ltd. While with Cominco, he held various positions in corporate finance and was most recently Exploration Controller, responsible for the financial reporting of the corporation’s eight international exploration subsidiaries as well as reporting for Canadian based exploration. From 2002 to 2004, Mr. Miles was the corporate controller for Quest Capital Corp. (formerly Viceroy Resource Corporation). In addition to NexTech AR, David currently serves as the CFO of Lara Exploration Ltd. and Legend Gold Corp.

Belinda Tildsey / Corporate Secretary and Director

Belinda has more than 15 years’ experience as a paralegal with law firms in MelbourneLondon and Vancouver, which has helped her to gain an in-depth understanding of the dynamics of dealing with various regulatory and legal bodies.  She has worked with numerous public companies trading on the TSX, TSX-V and CSE in the resource and technology sectors.  Her services include corporate secretarial, governance and regulatory compliance services, overseeing capital pool companies’ qualifying transactions, IPO’s and diverse transactions in corporate environments.
